Baked Sweet potato Chips

Sweet potatoes are so much healthier than normal white potatoes and they contain vitamin B6, vitamin C, Vitamin D, iron, Magnesium and potassium. With so many health benefits and yet so yummy to eat, Sweet potatoes are one of the super foods that we can consume guilt free.

Here is a recipe of Baked Sweet potato Chips which I usually prepare to replace the white potato chips. Trust me, they are healthier yet as tasty and crispy as the white ones.

Ingredients
Sweet potato 1
Salt  to taste
Pepper powder  1/2 tsp
Oil  1/2 tsp

Cut the sweet potato into thin slices and coat the slices with oil, salt and pepper powder.

Preheat the oven for 5-10 minutes.

Line a baking tray with baking sheet or aluminium foil and arrange the sweet potato slices in a layer.

Place the tray in the oven and bake it for 15-20 minutes at 120 degree until they crisp up.

Turn the slices over in the middle of 20 minutes to ensure even baking. They will be crispier if served when they cool down.

  • You can use the same method in a microwave oven, only make sure to keep the temperature to low and bake it for a long time.
